routing problem on 5304
I am trying to cut over a network to a new subnet. So I thought building a parallel network to cut everyone over slowly would be the easiest. My setup is as follows. I have an existing 48 port switch connected to a cisco 2600. The clients are 204.60.141.x currently. So I have a new 5304 (10.7.0.3) as the new building core and two 2650 (10.7.0.4-5 and a 2626 (10.7.0.6). I have 5 vlans, 4 user (10.7.1.x тАУ 10.7.5.x) and 1 management (10.7.0.x.). The management vlan will have a direct connection the Cisco 2600 once the old scope is done. So in the mean time I have bridged the two networks with a cheap netgear 1 to 1 router (10.7.0.2, this will be the address of the cisco once the 204.60.141.x scope goes away). I have configured my new DHCP scope on my new server and clients get ip address no problem. Now here is where I have the problem. From a PC on any vlan I can ping the management vlan and the gateway of any vlan. From the switch I can ping down stream to district core switch no problem. But I can't ping from any vlan on this new network down stream. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: routing problem on 5304
Hi
I think you should add a static route back from the core to all the Vlans you have, with a gateway of management Vlan on the 5300.
Good Luck !!!

Re: routing problem on 5304
I added static route back from the cisco 2600 to the 5304 for all the vlans pointed the address of the 5304. Now the router and all down stream traffic can see the vlans. However they can only see the vlan gateway adresses, not into the vlans. Now the vlans can't ping each other or out? Any ides on what I did wrong.
