no OS Image in flash

Bad code in FLASH

Flash memory needs reprogramming or chassis could be faulty.
Use a PC as the console and perform the update procedure
from the backup floppy diskette.
If unsuccessful w/ downloading, then try replacing chassis.

Re: switch fault after upgrade

Try (untested):
boot system flash secondary

you should be able to copy the secondary down to the primary:
copy flash flash primary

To download the image via the console, use XMODEM. The instructions are in the manual.

Re: switch fault after upgrade

Pascal,

The 2500 does not have a secondary flash, but you could try to enter the BOOTROM.

Make a console connection to the switch.
Hold the reset and clear button while switch is powered. Then release the resetbutton (the switch is rebooting) holding the clearbutton until the selftestlight is steady lit, then release the clearbutton. If all well then you should be in the BOOTROM. With xmodem you can upload the FW again. If no-go call HP for an exchange of your switch

Re: switch fault after upgrade

hello,
Tank's for your help.
In fact, my problem it's a communication problem between the switch and the terminal.

I need to disable flux control in the terminal setup.
After I can download a new firmware.
now the switch works
