unknown network adapter

I have a compaq evo d510 cmt with an onboard ethernet adapter and I can't determine what driver it should use. It has the number 82562 em/ex phy associated with it. I run win xp pro and it won't auto detect. Any ideas?

Looking at my D510 CMT, it has an Intel Pro/100 VM. I would go with the Intel supplied driver from:
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Detail_Desc.asp?agr=Y&ProductID=923&DwnldID=7200

While you are at it, download and install the ProSet utility.

Thanks...I had a fresh install of XP Pro from an OEM pack and it did not "see" the nic, and I didn't want to mess the install up just throwing that big bunch of "do them all" drivers.....but that's what I finally did and....it worked!
