vlans with unmanaged switch

Hello,

I have a ProCurve 5412zl that is doing all the routing between our separate vlans. We are expanding to another area of our building and we need to setup another switch in that area. We would like to use an unmanaged switch (to my knowledge is not vlan capable) that we have laying around.

Is it possible to send traffic from 3 separate vlans on the 5412 to that unmanaged switch using one uplink? Or do I need 3 different uplinks for each vlan - I recall reading something about this in one of the HP guides but I can't remember at the moment).

If you need additional info please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: vlans with unmanaged switch

Ok nevermind, I was able to control the vlan traffic across that link using untagged and tagged designations. Traffic with 3 vlans appears to be flowing just fine using one link.
