webauth with freeradius and edirectory
hi,
i've configured webauth on a 5308xl switch. It successfully attempts to authenticate to the freeradius server, but the freeradius server give the following:Auth: Login incorrect (rlm_chap: Clear text password not available): [testuser/]
Is there a way to get the webauth to not use CHAP? Is there any other workaround? I'm using an edirectory backend.

Re: webauth with freeradius and edirectory
There is no way around this. Contact
Procurve and ask them to make webauth
work with standard active directory
or standard radius. I did. They submitted
a Customer Enhancement Request for me.
No results so far.
If others ask for the same thing, maybe
it will be fixed sooner. Requiring reversibly
encrypted passwords makes webauth a non
starter for us.
