hey for the hp4000m procurve switch, what is the default username and password? I'm trying to telnet into the console port using a serial cable, and I can get in, but it wants a username/password. I don't remember if I set one up or not.
TIA
Josh

Solution
AFAIK, there is no factory "default", so you must have set one. While I am not familiar witht he 4000 series, other Procurve models have a reset and clear button that, depending on configured options, may clear the password. It is probably explained in the manual. If the clear button password button is disabled, you will have to contact NetHelp to get them to let you in the back door (assuming that model has a back door).
