3com 4500g switch having issues with bpdu packets being sent to our Core Cisco Switch, PLZ HELP
So the 3com swtich is sending bpdu packets to our core cisco switch on ports 1/0/51 and 1/0/52, I wanted someone to look at my configuration to see if I need to add anything to disabled sending bpdu packets to our core cisco switch because the core cisco switch doesn't like bpdu packets and will shutoff the ports if it detects it.

But in that case You can have lots of trouble in your network, because of banned stp...

int g 1/0/1 all the way through 1/0/48

Re: 3com 4500g switch having issues with bpdu packets being sent to our Core Cisco Switch, PLZ HELP
why did you ban the bpdu at your core switch on the port looking at your switch?
do you use bpduguard for it ?

Re: 3com 4500g switch having issues with bpdu packets being sent to our Core Cisco Switch, PLZ HELP
i dont manage the cisco core switch. the network team manages that. they said if the cisco detects a bpdu packets it will disable the ports to the 3com switch.
