Switch 1920s crashs randomly
Hello everyone,
Two months ago, when we put this switch in production site, it started making unexpectedly restarts(aka crashing). In that time we contact HPE support, and they advise us to do a downgrade from PD.02.06 to PD.02.05, and till now we didnt saw any more crashs.
Now it crashed again with the same error, after 2 months.

Re: Switch 1920s crashs randomly
If I were you (supposing a non defective unit) I would try the latest PD.02.10 Software version, it was released just few days ago. Generally avoid downgrades (if possible).
Note: your issue looks very similar to what was discussed on this thread just few days ago with another user.

Re: Switch 1920s crashs randomly
Thanks for the advice.
I have read changelogs from that version to old ones, and there is nothing mentioning this issue.
Its a dificult situation, because it can happeans anytime, and we never know if upgrading or downgrading it really fixes the issue or not.

Re: Switch 1920s crashs randomly
Hi! I see (same with me)...so...let's try the hard way and circumvent *that* portal by going directly to this URL:
https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JL381A
Let me know...it should work flawlessly (Note: the HPE OfficeConnect Support portal is not better than the My Networking Portal Product Lookup tool...I generally used the latter to check about 1920S/1920/1950 latest software releases and support.hpe.com portal for documentation about those series).
