1000Base-SX Adapter not enabled
Hi,
When i do the ioscan -fnClan i am not able to see the 1000Base-SX Adapter on the system.
But the adapter is installed on the system. I have installed the driver also as below,
GigEther-00 B.11.11.19 PCI/HSC GigEther;Supptd HW=A4926A/A4929A/A4924A/A4925A;SW=J1642AA
And also configured the /etc/rc.config.d/hpgelanconf still i am not able to see the adapter. I want to know how to find whether this adapter is disabled on the system so that i can enabled the same or it could be the bad adapter and need replacement?
Thanks,
Narendra

Re: 1000Base-SX Adapter not enabled
If the adaptor does not appear in ioscan (you might drop the Clan part on the off chance the card is in a state where its class cannot be determined) it suggests that either the card is dead, or it is not seated correctly in the slot, or perhaps even that the I/O slot is dead.
Into what sort of system are you inserting the card?
