11i and openssl

Does anyone know what version of openssl comes with the base 11i FOE installs? To include all FOE versions.

Hi Andy,

11iFOE comes with OpenSSL A.00.09.07-d.011. That is, openSSL0.9.7d.

Openssl A.00.09.07-d.002 is on my 11i System, which was patched and updated 9 months ago and installed with the December 2003 Core OS.

Based on openssl, as noted before.

The actual installed version depends on which Core OS you installed and what your last up to date application cd/Internet Express version you installed.

The latest up to date version is available as part of IE available at http://software.hp.com

Comiling a new version is a pain, but possible from the source at openssl.org

swlist -l product | grep -i openssl

On your actual system will provide a real answer.

When you first went to 11i, did you use the June 2004 FOE media, the September 2005 FOE media, etc...

I would like to know what version of OpenSSL comes with the different 11i installs.

June 2004 media contain OpenSSL 0.7.9d and Sep2005 latest versio of Openssl

One more question,

Is the openssl from the base install 32bit or 64bit.

the "file" command against various components will give 32 vs 64 bit.

if one does go the compile from openssl.org sources and are on Itanium, I would suggest at least 0.9.8a or later - it has some perf patches for Itanium.
