11iv3 extend file system without unmount

I am very new to the HPUX world and I need some guidance.
I have a filesystem /usr/sap that is 90% full.
I have 11122 free PE each PE is 32.
Can I extend this without unmounting the FS?
Thanks

Re: 11iv3 extend file system without unmount

You can extend it if you have OnlineJFS installed.
Check for logical volume name (usually is lvol6):
#bdf /usr
extend logical volume:
#lvextend -L newsizeM /dev/vg00/lvol6
extend the file system:
#fsadm -F vxfs -b newsizeM /usr
