HI, check bus compatibility, MHZ and volts, and put in the card.
Boot operating system with generic kernel
b -file genvmunix and do sizer -n
parse /tmp/file with /sys/conf/ and modify it with wath you look in .
Then recompile kernel with doconfig -c and reboot system with modified vmunix.
Is better you copy original kernel.... ;-)

The best approach is to check the SRM console for proper detection (support depends on machine and os-version), reading the supported option list of the machine and in case of support install it as written in the documentation delivered with the card!
