can you install red hat 64bit OS on to a 32bit dl360 g5?
i thought the answer was no, but i have had a request to do this, so just looking for an answwer

Solution
Proliant DL360 G5 *is* a 64-bit server.
Because it uses AMD64/EM64T technology, it can also run traditional 32-bit x86 software and OSs. If you install a 32-bit OS on it, it behaves just like a 32-bit server... but it really is 64-bit.
So yes, you can install a 64-bit version of RedHat Enterprise Linux on it.
