A6828A showing unclaimed

We have just added a A6828A Ultra 160 card to our L class and N class system. The card is seen but showing unclaimed. We are running 11.0 on each system. Is there a driver or patch we need to have this card be claimed?

Thanks in advance.

The driver is c8xx for the Ultra160 SCSI adapters -
check Sam=>kernel configuration=>drivers - if listed but not active, then enable and regen kernel. If not there, then you will need to install Hardware Enablement Bundle HWE-0203 bundle or later or install the
following patches:

PHKL_25014 s700_800 11.00 SCSI Ultra160 Driver
and
PHKL_25023 s700_800 11.00 PCI cumulative patch

Good luck,

Hi Amy,

You need add c8xx driver to the Kernel and reboot.

If it is not available in the driver list in SAM then install the Hardware Enablement Patches for HP-UX 11.00, September 2003 patch.

You can download the same from
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/releasePage.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.bundle|patch.breadcrumb.releaseIndexPage|&releaseId=5012-7886

ooops - one more thing
for sam to support the ultra 160 card you will need this patch.

PHCO_27375 s700_800 11.00 cumulative SAM/ObAM patch

Good luck and enjoy your new card.
