ACPI on EVO n1020v

I am trying to get ACPI to work on a n1020v without success. I have compiled a 2.6.20 kernel with all ACPI-functionality built-in. When booting i get the following message:

ACPI: Unable to locate RSDP

Anyone who has any idea what is wrong?

Consider Google, there are several possibilities.

RSDP: Root System Description Pointer

Linux is a modular kernel. Some modules just don't play well when made monolithic (assuming that you've built it that way based on your "built in" statement). I have not experimented with ACPI but it may be one of those that wants to be modular.
