AUTO_RUN(Service Guard)

Hi Experts,

I am enabling AUTO_RUN parameter of a package with command cmmodpkg -e pkgname. Will this update package configuration file?

please enlight the mechanism of cmmodpkg commnad.

Shalom,

No this step will not change the package configuration file.

You need to edit the package configuration file, generally located in /etc/cmcluster/

You then need to run cmcheckconf and cmapplyconf to apply the changes.

The command you posts is necessary to enable a package after it has been disabled.

Hi SEP,

cmmodpkg -e pkgname commnad will modify AUTO_RUN parameter temporarily or Permanent.ie. Next time when cluster will form package will run automatically?

please clarify the mechanism.
