About Sendmail Upgrade

i'm gonna upgrade my sendmail from 8.11.1 to 8.13.1.

I've got some questions.

1. How do i check whether my sendmail is web upgrade version or not?

2. Do i need to remove old version ? or I can just go ahead without remove.

3. Is there anything to confirm before the installation?

1. Sendmail 8.11.1 already contains the Web upgrade version.
2. You cannot install Sendmail 8.13.3 on a HP-UX 11i v1 system that already
contains the Web upgrade version of Sendmail 8.11.1. You must first uninstall
Sendmail 8.11.1; then install Sendmail 8.13.3 on the system.

I upgraded to Sendmail 8.13.3, Rev. 2.004, last August. The anti-spam features, in particular, were important. I found that the Rev. 2.004 did not support the greet-pause feature. The hp lab did provide me with a binary that did support greet-pause.

HP supports modifying sendmail.cf through the gen_cf program. However, the gen_cf script supports only a small subset of the features available in sendmail. To add features not offered in the gen_cf file, I took the generic mc file that gen_cf uses, modified the mc file to create the file localsm.mc, and created the sendmail.cf file from the cf/cf directory using the command

/usr/bin/m4 ../m4/cf.m4 localsm.mc > \ sendmail.cf
