Accepted method to wipe a HPUX 11.11 system.

Accepted method to wipe a HPUX 11.11 system.

I need to wipe some disks on an HPUX 11.11v1 server. What are the best programs/methods? Should be able to overwrite disk and not just remove disk structures.

Thanks

Hi Dan,

If you can hook up the disks to something x86 based, then take a look at DBAN http://www.dban.org

Hope this helps,

Don't think this will work as I need to see it from the unix server. Either a boot from a DVD or some unix tool.

DBAN, while a nice tool, is aimed at x86 PCs.
