Re: Adapter at hardware path 0/4/1/0.1 : Fibre Channel received invalid
Please check the device file of the FC by the command
#ioscan -fnC fc this command show the device file of the fibre channel card.
Please check the status of the FC is online or offline by the command mentioned below
#fcmsutil /dev/td**
If the Fc is not in online status u can get the disk devices attached to that path in the server.

Re: Adapter at hardware path 0/4/1/0.1 : Fibre Channel received invalid
this has been correctly pointed out by Niceguy that u have to do the following.
1)#ioscan -fnCfc
this will list the FC adapters in the system.
and the associated Device files depending on the model of the FC cards. These can be /dev/fcd0 and /dev/fcd1 or /dev/td0 and /dev/td1 and also the harware path. Know which HW path refers to 0/4/1/0.1 and the corresponding device files.
2)if u r using 11.23 use the commands
#fcmsutil /dev/fcd0 or #fcmsutil /dev/td0 for that device file to see that th prt status is online or not.
This shall help u. Update the OS Patch of the server and if possible the SAN SW FW and Storage FW.
Is this message coming after u have added a New LUN to the Server from the storage??
