Autopath:No auto path device found

Hello,
I have installed HP StorageWorks SecurePath
V3.0 on HP-UX v.11.23 and HP StorageWorks EVA 4400.
Installation finished successfully.
I executed in the following order
ioscan
insf -e
autopath discover
autopath display

The autopath display command gives the message:
AUPATH:No Auto Path Device found.

Can you help me figure out what is missing ?

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

Hi Alex,

How many HBA card is present, If two or more is present ,whether the ioscan output for the disk is displaying properly.

make sure the Zoning is configured from the Storage side ( do refresh the configuration again).

check for ioscan output again , once after installing the device drivers.
insf -e.

try again.

autopath discover
autopath display

Thanks,
Analyst.

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

Hi,

i removed and reinstalled SecurePath v.3.0
I unpresented and presented again the three virtual disks
.
Three virtual disks were presented to the host.

i executed again
ioscan
insf -e
autopath discover which finished with message Discover successfull.
autopath display is displaying the message
Autopath: No Autopath device found.

The ioscan -funC disk displays the message that i have attached.

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

After installation of SecurePath
i can find the HPswsp folder under /opt.
This folder has only an hpap file.
If i execute command strings on this file, i get the following result that you can find attached.

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

So when you say you have v3.0, do you have 3.0F Service Pack 3? That's the first version that supported EVA4400 disk arrays. Any earlier version might not work.

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

Thank you.
The version seems to be the problem.
I have installed v.3.0F that has worked previously with other servers with EVA3000.
3.0F with Service pack 3 is what i need.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Autopath:No auto path device found

V.3.0F with Service pack 3 needs to be installed for EVA4400.
