Hi,

What do you mean by Bare Metal Recovery in HP-UX? Why it is used?

Recover a system to new hardware. Would be used if server got stolen, was set of fire or lost..

For example, in a disaster recovery. You could recover a lost system boot image onto new hardware using a method such as Ignite (providing you have a suitable backup image available on a tape or network share).
