Basic Commands
I'm new to unix, i want to learn some basic commands, pls tell me some important commands and usage.pls dont refer any pdf's or websites.

Use top glance sar vmstat to get system information
swapinfo -tam
to get swap memory.
mkdir-make new directory
chown - change owner
chmod - modify permissions
bdf - disk usage

there are lots of command in unix so you have to refer pdfs

Perhaps we didn't understand your requirements?
Are you looking for basic HP-UX commands, or specific sysadmin commands?
If you are looking for books on the latter topic, I assume JRF may have some valuable suggestions.
