Be able to boot a virtual server from a make_net_recovery image.

I am running HPVM version 4.0 on my server and have create a virtual server. Is there a way where I can use a image that was create with Ignite using make_net_recovery? There is a firewall between the Ignite server and the server that has the virtual server. What would be the steps I would have to take to do this?

Juan,

Using ignite-ux with Integrity Virtual Machine:

Check page#5 & 6 : (bootptab and dhcp server configuration) ,
-Entries to put in /etc/bootptab to accommodate Integrity VM client(s).

-then boot the VM using the ignite-ux server:
(on page#7)

Hi

I'm assuming that since you have a firewall problem you also have two subnets, and ignite needs to be on one subnet unless you use boot helper or make an ignite DVD.

You may have to use dbprofile is you have firewall in between 2 subnets.
