It stuck at the position at /sbin/ioinitrc and sits for more then 1 hour.
This is rx machine.

Try booting the server in LVM Maintenance mode.
Break boot sequence when asked:
HPUX> boot vmunix -lm

As above try booting in single user/LVM and if nothing works raise a hardware call.

Try to boot into Single user mode.
hpux -s
If you are able to login into single user then do a "init 3" for multiuser.

SolutionAs stated, get to your single user mode.
a) check /etc/inittab, first line, 2nd fragment for 3 or 4. Paste in the inittab file for review.
