CDE login is taking more time in HP-UX 11.11 for NIS users

I have an rp4440 box with hpux 11.11 installed. CDE login through exceed is happening very fast for local users.But for NIS users it is taking around 5 to 10 minutes. for NIS users automount is configurd for home directory which is is in NFS file server.But telnet is happening very fast for NIS users. please help to resolve this.

what's about hard mounting the home directories?

Also check landiag - lan - dis for errors in your ethernet connection (second page of 'dis')

What /etc/nsswitch.conf says on the machine?
Try changing the /etc/nsswitch.conf file, if you've got preferrence for NIS Users.

there is no problme with ethernt connection.
