CIFS mount not happening in HP-UX 11.31 for Windows Server 2008 R2 Share
CIFS mount not happening for Windows Server 2008 R2 Share in HP-UX 11.31. For mount the below commands are tried.
#mount -F cifs -o username=administrator,password= :/ /
#cifsmount -U administrator -P password //w2k8server/share.
But the follwing error received.
SRV: Bad password
SRV: Bad password
#mount -F cifs -o username=administrator,password=
#cifsmount -U administrator -P password //w2k8server/share.
But the follwing error received.

what is the preparation you did to install CIFS i think you need to create cifs user/password?

Try this
cifsmount SERVER:/PATH/TO/SHARE /PATH/TO/MOUNTPOINT -s
cifslogin SERVER -U -P -D -s
check cifs
cifslist -r
cifsmount SERVER:/PATH/TO/SHARE /PATH/TO/MOUNTPOINT -s
cifslogin SERVER -U
check cifs
cifslist -r
