CIFS server installaltion fails
CIFS-Client A.01.09.01 CIFS Client
CIFS-Development A.02.04a HP CIFS Server Source Code Files
CIFS-Server A.01.10 HP CIFS Server (Samba) File and Print Services
I want to upgrade CIFS server to latest version. For this I have downloaded following depot -
B8725AA_A.02.04a_HP-UX_B.11.11_32_64.depot
When I tried to install I get following error -

* Ending Analysis
I am not able to determine dependency issue. Pl help.

or check "sw* logs"
if you still prefer to ignore the dependencies you can while using option in ignore dependencies "man swinstall"

So its better to check dependencies before going ahead with ignore_dependencies.

Check this out some s/w are mandatory for CIFS 02.01.Go ahead and install them, these are some security related products so I suppose you may have to keep it in mind :)

If you look at the various SD logfiles you can find out the dependencies but better to look at the CIFS documentation:

The installation instructions are included on the download page.
2.) Backup your old config files.
Please refer to page 28-29 of the attached CIFS Admin Guide.
3)Backup your system using Ignite and proceed for the CIFS installation.
