Re: CMVEWCL
The system already answered your questions.
> what may be the problem...
"Either:
- this node is not configured in a cluster,
- user doesn't have access to view the cluster configuration, or
- there is some obstacle to viewing the configuration"
> how to troubleshoot it?
"Check the syslog file for more information.
For a list of possible causes, see the Serviceguard manual for cmviewcl."
If you already have examined the syslog but did not understand something in there, please show us the part you did not understand so we may help you.
If you have already checked the possible causes listed in the manual or could not find them, please say so. We are not mind readers here.
If you don't have the ServiceGuard manual handy in paper form, find it in the High-Availability section of docs.hp.com:

Re: CMVEWCL
Has the cluster binary got corrupted? Copy the contents of /etc/cmcluster on the working node to the other node.

Re: CMVEWCL
ON the other node is cmviewcl working?
Obviously u need to refer to the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for the possible error mesages and
on the other node try by running:
#cmviewcl
#cmviewcl -v
#cmviewconf
and see if this node said as configured in the cluster.
Also u can more analyse using the commands
#cmscancl >> /tmp/scancl.out
On this node try checking the file /etc/inetd.conf so as to check that
hacl-cfg
hacl-hb
are enabled
if u make changes for enabling these please make sure that u do a
#inetd -c

Re: CMVEWCL
cmviewcl is giving proper output sometimes from both nodes..package is up and running fine .
cmgetconf -c sd_cluster /tmp/test.txt
cmgetconf : Unable to get cluster configuration information for cluster sd_cluster.
Either cluster sd_cluster is not configured, or the user doesn't
have access to get the cluster configuration.
If we try cmviewcl after this ,then cmviewcl is taking time to give the output (around 1-2 min)...
i have checked cmclnodelist/inetd.conf/.rhosts/nsswitch.conf and /etc/hosts..
what does the error indicates ?
