Can I remove core.0 core.1 and core.2 directory?

In /var/adm/crash, there are 3 directories which are core.0 core.1 and core.2. Can I remove all these directories and the file called bounds?

/var/adm/crash holds a crash dump when your system crashes. If you do not intend to send the crash dumps to HP for analysis, then yes, remove all the files under /var/adm/crash. Note that if your system is restarting by itself and you see a new set of files in /var/adm/crash, your system probably needs patches.

Hi Peter:

The directories are created as a result of a server crash. Since this appears to have occurred almost two years ago, you can safely remove all four objects (one file and three directories).

Clearly after this much time you either corrected the problem that caused the crash or it has never happened again.
