Can't find VNC software for reinstallation

We have an HP RX2660 running HP/UX 11.23.

We received the system new mid May and there was VNC server software on it.

The system was trashed by a designer and I had to do a reinstall.

After the reinstall, I can't find any vnc software. I did catalogs of all the media HP shipped with the system and still can't find anything.

Any idea where I can find the missing VNC software?

I've cobbled that together, but the system came with vncserver installed.

The media disks that are provided are supposed to have all of the installed software.

Where is it?

Hmm, I not aware of HP-UX doing that?

Unfortunately, I didn't keep any info on the depot as it was already there.

Would have been nice to get depot info before the machine had been trashed to see where the vnc came from.

Shalom Chris,

The software is not provided by depot.

You have to download it, and untar it and follow the installation instructions that came with it.

Oh the world would be so nice if everyone used .depot files on HP-UX, but it would be boring and people don't want to do it.

So read the installation instructions and have a good time.

Well, it definitely was installed on the server we received.

It was the first thing I fired up when we received it.

Guess it will remain a mystery.

The supplied software with the OS is Xvfb (X Virtual Frame Buffer). We are currently using it in place of "VNC server", as it is much more reliable.

vncserver was definitely there though when we first got the server.
