Hi. I am trying to remove print jobs from the printer pr2 from the command line using
cancel pr2
and it's not dessaparing from the queue, and from SAM is not doing anything at all also.
I stopped already the spooler and also made the printer to reject new requests and tried again to cancel these jobs but nothing worked out. Any help? Thanks ins advance...

Solution
Shalom,
You can look around in /var/spool and manually delete the jobs.
Only do this with the spooler shut down as you currently have it.
You may need to use fuser -uk to identify and remove processes with file handles open.

Re: Cancel lp print jobs
Hi Steven. Thanks for the reply.
The only thing I was able to find in the /var/spool FS about this printer is this:
girona:/var/spool/lp#cd request/pr2/
girona:/var/spool/lp/request/pr2#ll
total 4
-rw-r--r-- 1 lp lp 0 May 30 2006 .remotesending
-rw-r--r-- 1 root lp 23 Ene 22 09:22 .sendingstatus
-rw-r--r-- 1 lp lp 4 Ene 22 10:28 .seq
girona:/var/spool/lp/request/pr2#cat .remotesending .sendingstatus .seq
pr2: ready and waiting
941
And nothing about these jobs that are running. Can you point me something else?
Thanks in advance

Re: Cancel lp print jobs
I founded the clue. Was nothing related with the HP-UX System. It was all about the print server the printer has on board.
We had to reboot the printer and the comunication was restored. It seemed to me that the connection between the print server and the print spooler broke down somehow.
Thanks anyway.
