I am facing the issue like want to change device file /dev/cxtxdx to /dev/cytydy.
Please help me in this i have heard of making change in ioinit but not sure and one more way of doing creating device file manually.

The posted doc was written years ago and applies to HP-UX up to 11.00.
Some things have changed since this time - some not.
If you are on 11.31 or using special software like auto/secure path or others, you should not use the procedure.
