Checklist of O.S.

Hello All

Always, when I make a shutdown in some server HPUX, after reboot I make one manual checklist.
Please., somebody knows if exist on checklist scripts? To execute it before e after to comparate one script to make the comparison of routes, file systems, networks, disks, etc.
Thank you all.

Thanks for all.

Re: Checklist of O.S.

Hi,

You might want to check the rc.log to see what scripts are being executed and use that as a comparison with other systems.

Jaime

Re: Checklist of O.S.

Shalom, Shalon.

I write these type of scripts myself. They check the process ID is present on critical services as I define critical.

For Oracle database, I write a script that connects to the database and reads actual data from the database, as existence of a process is not good enough to know if something is running.
