Cloning Systems

We are moving off our antiquated HPUX 11.11 RISC based systems to some shiny new HPUX 11.31 Itanium systems. We are basically duplicating the old and new systems.

I have polled all of the installed software and have installed the necessary things.
I have gone through and noted the network customizations, the filesystem customizations, and all of the pertinent files /etc/ and /etc/rc.config.d. Is there anything else that I am missing or is needed additionally?

Thanks for all of the help.

Re: Cloning Systems

Do users log into these systems? Do you need to duplicate users/groups from old to new?

Any SSH access? Any need to worry with SSH keys?

Re: Cloning Systems

Yes, the users log into the systems and I grabbed all of the appropriate user and passwords and group files.

We do not use SSH keys for anything.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated :)

Re: Cloning Systems

You might need to check the network configuration files under /etc/rc.config.d. Use ioscan -fnC to find out the network card then modify the network card configuration file.
