Command to be run on the linux box after a lun is unpresented

Hi All,
I am noticing that once a lun is presented to a linux box and running echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host(N)/scan command the device files for the newly presented lun is seen in /sys/class/scsi_disk directory.

However, when a lun is unpresented and the echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host(N)/scan command is run, the entries corresponding to the unpresented lun are still getting listed when they should not appear. Any reason for this. Is there any command to make those entries not appear in the list once the lun is unpresented.
