Complete listing of HPUX11i ver 3 components

I would love to know if there is a complete (correct) listing of all the packages/bundles/fileset (whatever) in the September 2010 HP-UX 11.3 load.

I can find a generalized listing for the September 2009 loads, but it is just that a general listing. It is incomplete, uses different names than what I find during the install, and still does not provide the info I need to determine if I should include a componetn in the install.

I think you will find the information in the release notes, but you may consider to put the DVD into the drive and run a "swlist" to see the component details.

Hope this helps!

Which OE -- Base OE (BOE) ; High Availability OE (HA-OE) ; Virtual Server OE (VSE-OE) ; Data Center OE (DC-OE)

Some information can be found here, but you may have already seen this.

All the documentation I have seen on the HP web sites is grossly generalized and usually a year out of date. I have read the release notes. Lots of talk about what is new, but nothing about what packages each ENV contain or the actual filesets contained.

As for listing the software using another host via the swlist command. hmm. I'm going to try that.

Shalom,

Some form of swlist will provide the inventory you desire.

The man page has several good examples.

Re: Complete listing of HPUX11i ver 3 components

Robert,
check this out:
# after os has been installed if you use the print_manifest command you will see the default components (bundles) that loaded.
# /opt/ignite/bin/print_manifest

# for recording the current config:
# swlist -l bundle > swlist_bundle.txt
# swlist -l product > swlist_product.txt
# swlist -l fileset > swlist_filesets.txt

Enjoy, Have fun!.
Raj.

Re: Complete listing of HPUX11i ver 3 components

It depends upon the media part number you're using. I usually use this chart and then click on the media part numbers to see all of the bundles contained on that particular media release:

Hope this helps.
