Configuration of one DLT tape drive on HP-UX 11i V3
Hi,
I need historical information contained in a DLT tape.
I installed one adapter A4800A on a server rp4440. Next, I attached an external drive DLT 7000 (C6375A). The server is running an operating system hp-ux 11i v3
When I ioscan -fu shows card information:
ext_bus 22 0/4/1/0 c8xx CLAIMED INTERFACE SCSI C87x Ultra Wide Differential
But when I run ioscan-funC tape, it does not show any line of tape installed.
What could be missing?
I've checked the loaded kernel drivers, and I loaded some of them but without success.
I have a tape library connected by SAN to the server with no problems, but I have the problem with the DLT tape drive.
Please, provide any information according your experience.
Thanks in advance.
Roger

Probably.

Buy a (used) DLT7000 tape drive with a compatible SCSI interface?
That might be cheaper than an HVD-LVD adapter.
