Console log

When I login on the console I get overwhelmed with these messages to the point where I can do anything in the console window. How can I get rid of these messages?

Must specify a backup file now !
current audit file size is 9996 kilobytes!!!
an attempt to switch to the backup file failed.

Re: Console log

Someone (as root) has enabled auditing and did not realize that the default are far too small. You need to stop auditing with the command:

audsys -f

Then review your audi requirements and pick another location for the auditing logs that is large enough to hold the potentially enormous amount of data that can be created.
