I am doing a migration from one hp/ux 11.11 box to another. The new box is trusted, but the one is not. So I can't just copy over the users from /etc/passwd, /tcb/files/auth, etc.
Is is possible?
Thanks,
Nate

Solution
Hi Nate:
Either untrust the new box; merge the user data from the old, untrusted one to the new box; and re-trust the new box; OR: issue 'useradd' commands on the new server to construct your account structure.
Regards!

Re: Copy Users from Non-Trusted system to Trusted System
Thats right!
The only possible way is to first untrust the new system, merge the passwd file from the old one and convert to trusted again or write a script to add the users to new system using the password file from old system and reset their passwords
