DL 580 G5 CPU scaling issue with RHEL 5.5 x64
Hello,
We have DL580G5 with 12GB RAM and 4xQuadcore Processor and the OS we are using is RHEL5.5 x64. During loadtime, only one CPU core is showing 100% usage and the remaining 15 CPU cores are showing idle. Please check the attached status of sar -P ALL 1 5. Any idea ?
Its a serios performace issue. Please help us to resolve it.
Regards
Athar

Re: DL 580 G5 CPU scaling issue with RHEL 5.5 x64
What applications are using up CPU? If it's only a single application, I suspect that your application is single-threaded, you should tune it to use multiple cores.
