Re: DLT80e for Kclass
Do you have the latest patches SCSI installed?
What firmware do you have loaded?
When you ran the mt -t commands, was there a tape loaded?
If so, hHave you tried some different tapes?
Is the device correctly terminated?
Regards
Michael

Re: DLT80e for Kclass
It will not work on HPPB cards.
If you have HSC scsi card, then connect it or you can conncet it on core i/o card.
but the performance will be slower.

Re: DLT80e for Kclass
Michael, I have install the latest patch
PHKL_22855 B.10.00.00.AA stape and tape2 cumulative patch
And i have load different type tape, the problem are still remain.
Animesh, I heard people say HPPB not support DLT. But the the DLT80e only support LVD/SE. The kclass server have
ext_bus 0 10/0 c720 CLAIMED INTERFACE GSC built-in Fast/Wide SCSI Interface
ext_bus 1 10/4/8 scsi1 CLAIMED INTERFACE HP 28655A - SE SCSI ID=7
ext_bus 2 10/4/12 scsi3 CLAIMED INTERFACE HP 28696A - Wide SCSI ID=7
ext_bus 3 10/8 c720 CLAIMED INTERFACE GSC add-on Fast/Wide SCSI Interface
ext_bus 4 10/12/5 c720 CLAIMED INTERFACE Built-in SCSI
I have try to connect the DLT80e to those interface, but the server can't scan the device.

Re: DLT80e for Kclass
Did you recommend to put the conventor between the 28655A HP-PB SE SCSI adapter and the DLT80e?
Do you know how much it cost?
thanks

Re: DLT80e for Kclass
Did you tried giving
#insf -e command sometimes the you need to give this command.
Try giving this command & check.
