DST and zic errors
uname tells me digital unix V4.0 878 alpha.
i'm trying to do the manual DST update as outlined in : http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1106942
but the zic command is spewing out a bunch of errors like:
"northamerica", line 621: input line of unknown type
"northamerica", line 622: input line of unknown type
"northamerica", line 623: input line of unknown type
"northamerica", line 624: input line of unknown type
"northamerica", line 640: Zone continuation line end time is not after end time of previous line
if i run the zic command on the older 'northamerica' file, it works fine.
if i VI the new northamerica file, it looks good. ie. not corrupt.
is there something i'm doing wrong?
thankyou

Re: DST and zic errors
Please attach your file, also, use cat -e to identify non printable characters that could be causing the problem.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
