Re: DVD Problem

HI Nejad,

If everything looks okay (power and physical conn), then try to connect drive to any other server and see if it can be detected.
It might be HW issue also.

Re: DVD Problem

Is this a partitionned system?

If so, and if you have installed both tape and DVD then you may access only one of them from each partition.

If this is the case then you will need to replace the DVD drive with your DAT tape drive.

Re: DVD Problem

Hi Nejad,

From the IOSCAN output, I can see that the partition is used CELL3. By default the hardware path for the internal DVD drive is

0/0/0/2/1.X.0

Please check from your other partitions it the DVD is visible.

Re: DVD Problem

I would check the cable for bent pins now.

Hope this helps!

Re: DVD Problem

If you can confirm the drive is connected to this nPar, the device itself may have a problem. If it is hotplug (e.g. in a tape array chassis), consider to pull and push it.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
