Data size deffers after restoration.
After making service completely down we took backup of internal storage
and restored on other mount point (from dmx storage)
But when we compare size there was 2GB data size deference.
We have done this restoration using netbackup.
Even after doing cp also we found same issue.
Appreciated for you early response
Chandra

Re: Data size deffers after restoration.
Typically this means you had a sparse file and when you copy it, you fill in the gaps with zeros.

Re: Data size deffers after restoration.
you didn't mentioned how much the data was that was cp-ed/move-ed ..some application process don't releave space immediately ,i have been thru simlar situatoins .and as long as the application comes up aftr moving data and you have a email from application team confirming the same ..you need not worry.
