Default gateway information doesn't stay set
I recently Ignited a new system and it came up fine but the default gateway wasn't set. Not sure why. Anyway I set the d.g. using set_parms addl_netwrk and it made the additions to the /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file. I then rebooted the machine but the default gateway information wasn't preserved. The machine came back up again but again no default router was set. Maybe this is something really simple but I can't see it. The box is 11.31 ia64.
Thanks for any help

Re: Default gateway information doesn't stay set
Do you have any "backup" files in /etc/rc.config.d? Something like netconf.bak or netconf.orig?
If so, get rid of them and try rebooting again.
Also verify that the information you require is in the /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file like it should be.

Very True..
Also you could see /etc/rc.log for any hints..
