Deferred swap reservation failure
Hi,
I get the following errore on HP-UX , 11.23, with 4 Gb RAM, when run dmesg, to get info about system:
Deferred swap reservation failure.....
At the begin I had 8 Gb of swap area and, next, I added other 8 Gb of swap and again I get the error.
thie is my swapinfo -tam:
Mb Mb Mb PCT START/ Mb
TYPE AVAIL USED FREE USED LIMIT RESERVE PRI NAME
dev 8192 4350 3842 53% 0 - 1 /dev/vg00/lvol2
dev 8000 1856 6144 23% 0 - 1 /dev/vg00/lvswap2
reserve - 5853 -5853
memory 4075 1676 2399 41%
total 20267 13735 6532 68% - 0 -

Hi Nauro:
Looking at 'dmesg' probably means that your looking at a past event. The kernel buffer is circular and unless there has been sometihing new to fill it you will see what you had. Look at '/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log' where you have timestamps to read, too.
