Re: Disk Issue

hi,

check the ioscan -fnC disk |grep NO_HW

but you should open a HW call to HP or some support company with your support contract.

Re: Disk Issue

hi,

Basically the disk is dying, rather quickly.

I would suggest yuo find a replacement drive and hope you have a good backup of any data on it. if not then you should try and get what you can while you can.

The problem you may encounter is getting a replacement disk as its obviously an old system as the disk is only 2gb

Re: Disk Issue

Shalom Rahul,

The disk is dead or dying.

Locate or create backups, including ignite make_net_recovery or make_net_recovery

Contact hardware service, order a new disk.

Re: Disk Issue

>>Please suggest on this <<

Its always better to take suggestion from output "event.log" by looking

Probable Cause / Recommended Action:

To check Disk you perform "dd" command to check

Example :-

# dd if=/dev/dsk/c11t0d0 of=/dev/null bs=128k

it will take a while (if record in + out should be same)

# dd if=/dev/dsk/c11t0d0 of=/dev/null bs=128k
560057+1 records in
560057+1 records out
Problems are common to all, but attitude makes the difference

Re: Disk Issue

Hard Disk having bad sectors.
If it is possible to take the clone(mirror),
then take it.
While copying files , it may show some error.
Due to bad sectors.

Check the power also.

P-N=230V
N-E=.1-6V(should not be 0)
P-E=229.9-224V.
Check the earthing connection.
