commands instead of confusing and
contradictory descriptions of commands.

Still wondering. It may not help if you
install an X server but you don't run it.

Steven is saying that you are confused about SSH and Telnet.
Those are 2 client/server protocols, the first (SSH) is using port 22 and the last (Telnet) is using port 23.
