Do you have to add swap after adding RAM?
One of our 11.31 systems got slower after adding 32GB of RAM. The swap space has not been extended.

Re: Do you have to add swap after adding RAM?
Check the utilization of the swap first.
You don't always need a swap in size of ram - have a look at a superdome 2 - you won't have 12 TB swap space ...
However, the dimm population my be wrong (any hints during boot?), this may slow down the system.
You told too less details about your system, memory size etc.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
