They include OS specific information such as patches and kernel parameters.

They need to be followed very strictly.

2>is there any difference in the software requirements for installation of oracle application in PA_RISC and itanium servers,if so please mention

Anoop,

Oracle application 11.5.9 is not certified on Itanium platform.
You can install it on PA-Risc systems with HP Ux 11.23. Installation steps are available in Metalink.
